There is no one right month or season; we welcome visitors all year round with options tailored to the time you choose: adventures, nature and history. Wonderful memories are guaranteed.
Winter temperatures range between 0° and 15° and they may even fall below zero. Thick winter clothes and windbreaker jackets are advisable, especially if you plan to go whale or porpoise watching.
Summer temperatures, on the other hand, are quite high during the day, sometimes reaching 38°, and can fall to 18° at night, so visitors should take sunscreens and bathing suits as well as windbreakers and light winter clothes.
The rest of the year temperatures vary from 10° to 20° but, since factors such as the wind and the closeness of the sea make them fluctuate a lot, a coat will certainly come in handy at all times. Do not forget to pack comfortable shoes, suitable for walking on uneven, sloped terrain. Remember that most of our beauties are outdoors.
The provincial protected areas were created with the ultimate aim of conservation. We strongly recommend learning about the rules and regulations in force before your visit (tourist guides, certified tourist operators, permitted activities, forms to be filled in by groups, etc.)
In all these places visitors will have access to rangers, restrooms, car parks, observation spots, binoculars, signals, tourist information and communication centers, all of which will make the tour even more enjoyable.
Every year, wildlife species choose our lands to mate and breed. You will be able to witness one stage in the lifecycle of different animals.

Your visit to the city of Trelew is not complete if you do not taste the “Welsh Black Cake”. Within this city the first factory emerged that produces the “Welsh Black Cake”, which recovered the original recipe of this special treat. Its preparation is made following the recipes of ancestors, who devised it according to the food conditions that they possessed when they arrived at our lands, and they needed to achieve a nutritious and sustainable food, with the few ingredients that they had. Today, this product has become one of the major regional products, and its name is nationally and internationally known as being genuine from our area.
Ponchos, jackets, scarves and a large variety of wool clothing made by artisans of the city, of attractive designs and quality, enhance this fiber, and connect it with the original inhabitants, and with the immigrants that later arrived to this land. Various yarn and fabric techniques achieve modern and functional products of extraordinary quality. These products, as well as leather, stone or ceramic crafts, manifest through their colors and textures, their Patagonian identity, and are an ideal present for those who wish to remember the vastness of the land and the distances of this region.
